===XQuery===
If a single an XQuery module file is specified as input for the REPO INSTALL install command, it will be simply parsed and copied to the repositoryif it can be successfully parsed as an XQuery module.
===Java===
The following steps are to be observed for packaging a JAR archive:
* The installed JAR archive must contain a manifest ({{Mono|META-INF/MANIFEST.MF}}) with a {{Mono|Main-Class:}} entry, which will be bound to the namespace.
* All public functions of this class can then be addressed from XQuery.
* The repository path to the JAR file can then be directly used as namespace URI.
