By default, REST services are available at {{Code|http://localhost:8984/rest/}}. Most browsers can be used to perform simple REST requests and display the response. By default, the HTTP server is started with admin credentials ([[Web Application#User Management|see further]]). A web browser can be used to perform simple GET-based REST requests and display the response. Some alternatives for using REST are listed in the [[#Usage Examples|Usage Examples]].
