RESTXQ is a new standard API with RESTful for using XQuery Annotations presented as a Server Side processing language for the Webwhilst maintaining portability. It has been largely inspired byJava’s[http://wwwen.adamretterwikipedia.org.uk/ Adam Retterwiki/Java_API_for_RESTful_Web_Services JAX-RS]API anddefines a pre-defined set of XQuery 3.0 annotations for mapping an HTTP requestIt further simplifies web application development in to an XQueryfunction.As of {{Version|7.2}}, RESTXQ is supported by BaseX.
