| Binds external variables to XQuery expressions. This flag may be specified multiple times. Variables names and their values are delimited by equality signs (<code>=</code>). The names may be optionally prefixed with dollar signs. The [[Options#BINDINGS|BINDINGS]] option serves the same purpose.
